Tournament could run until 11 pm. Format will be a Quad unless there is an
odd number of players in which we may have a Swiss. USCF required. EF:
$10.00 members, $15.00 nonmembers. No cash prizes. First place of each Quad
receives a free entry into the following month's Tuesday or Saturday Quad.

10:00-2:30-7:00, Sun: 9:00-1:30 or ASAP. E.F. determined by ratings: Players
1800 and up pay $5; $5 added to entry fee for every 100 points lower then
1800. Examples: 1700-1799 pay $10, 1600-1699 pay $15, and so on. USCF rated
event. (I’ll use your highest rating ever for entry fee amount.) One
1/2-point bye per player if requested before the end of previous round;
Sunday byes must be requested before the end of round 3. Coffee and Cookies
provided. Prizes: no cash prizes, however gift certificates will be awarded
to winners: The top player will be added to a group of players who will play
in a tournament in June 2009 to face Dave Sprenkle for the Spokane City
Championship. The top remaining players will fill in the void to complete
the group of 6 that will compete for the right to play Sprenkle. (Spokane
Chess Club players or residents only for the 6 person group in the spring to
