Did you see us in the Yellow Pages? – New to Northwest Chess?

Northwest Chess advertises in Verizon Yellow Pages

Northwest Chess (NWC) has an advertisement/phone number listing in the Greater Seattle & Eastside Regional Verizon Yellow Pages (just published), as well as the Eastside only pages (also just published). An ad will also appear in the South King County edition due to be published in April. All of the ads appear under the heading of “Chess Instruction,” which currently has no other ads. The ads will be financed in part by a donation from NWC business manager Eric Holcomb, who will donate back to NWC the $25 he receives each month for updating the NWC website. This arrangement is for 2008 only; if the ads are successful they will continue at the expense of NWC, otherwise they will be cancelled after this year. Eric will receive calls to the number listed in the directory (253-850-2996), and will inform callers about Northwest Chess magazine, as well as provide referrals to chess coaches and chess clubs. If you are a chess coach who wishes to be included in this referral program, please let Eric know by phone or by e-mail to Eric@Holcomb.com. Donations by chess coaches/clubs to help defray the cost of advertising are optional this year, but may be required to participate in the referral program if continued in 2009. Thank you!
