The other night I finished playing through Larsen's games. This man was a brilliant tactician, perhaps best illustrated by the last game he put in the book vs. Bobotsov, which earned high praise in a post at chessgames.com. Many points of opening strategy are gone over in his annotations, which incidentally are quite outstanding and contain his humor. HIs optimism and desire to fight for the full point comes through in these games. In his games we see his knowledge of Nimzovich in action. It becomes how we was in the top five in the world in his prime. This is a book which games are well worth playing through and you won't be disappointed.
