Hello from Spokane. Appears to be a good turnout. No final numbers yet since there can be entries for the 2 day schedule on Sunday Morning.
IM John Donaldson is no 1 rated so far. Carl Haessler and David Bragg plus Curt Collyer are some of the top players. Only 1 woman so far in the Open section so there might be no contest for the Martha Jane Miller Memorial prize.
Nice playing site. Chess Vendor is here. Seprate room for skittles play and for the TD room.
More later.

After the re-registered no-shows and the reentry folks have been eliminated, we have 103 different folks still competing in this year's Washington Open. The Open section's round four board one matchup features the only two perfect scores in the section -- John Donaldson (from the 3 day event) and Nick Raptis (from the two day schedule). Steve Breckenridge and Josh Sinanan are a half point back. The premiere and reserve sections each have a pair of undefeateds playing this round, while the booster section features three perfects scores at this point.

I don't know when there will be another update.

Update from the middle of round 5. Last night, Donaldson and Raptis used the entire 6 hours of time control with Donaldson finally prevailing in a rook and opposite bishop endgame. This morning, Donaldson and Josh Sinanan reached an early draw on board one of the Open. Raptis is playing David Bragg on board two, while Curt Collyer defeated Peter Watts on board 3.

The leaders in most of the other sections are still battling. Shanglun Wang defeated George Stewart in a battle of undefeateds and leads the booster with a perfect 5.0 and a full point lead.
