{"id":1816,"date":"2014-02-17T20:49:36","date_gmt":"2014-02-18T04:49:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nwchess.com\/blog\/?p=1816"},"modified":"2017-05-06T21:55:53","modified_gmt":"2017-05-07T05:55:53","slug":"presidental-scholastic-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nwchess.com\/blog\/2014\/02\/presidental-scholastic-results\/","title":{"rendered":"Presidental Scholastic Results"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Feb 15,\u00a02014, a 5 section scholastic event was held at Olympic View Elementary School,\u00a0Seattle. <strong>David Hendricks <\/strong>was the tournament Director.<br \/>\n17 players in the K-1 Under 800 rated section were topped by the 5-0 score of <strong>Palash Singhal <\/strong>of Creekside Elementary in Issaquah.<br \/>\n18 players in the K-3 Open section were topped by Rockwell Elementary of Redmond student <strong>Daniel Shubin <\/strong>with 5-0.<br \/>\n22 players in the 2-3 Under 800 rated sections was also won by a 5-0 score by <strong>Asa Whitehead <\/strong>of Leschi Elementary of Seattle.<br \/>\nTwo students in the 4-6 under 900 rated section scored 4.5-.5,\u00a0<strong>Ezra Ford <\/strong>of Leschi Elementary and <strong>Tate Fuller <\/strong>of Lakeside Middle School of Seattle.<br \/>\nBear Creek School of Redmond student <strong>Asher Thakur <\/strong>scored 4.5 to top the 19 player 4-7 Open section.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"crosstable\" href=\"http:\/\/chess.ratingsnw.com\/report13-14\/PresidentialSchol.html\"><strong>CLICK HERE<\/strong><\/a> for the Chess Ratings Northwest crosstables for the event.<\/p>\n<p>The two Open Sections were USCF rated <strong><a title=\"uscf crosstables\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uschess.org\/msa\/XtblMain.php?201402155012\">CLICK HERE<\/a> <\/strong>for those crosstables. 16 players got their first USCF ratings in this event.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"photos\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/media\/set\/?set=a.746818945342337.1073741831.173076032716634&amp;type=1\">CLICK HERE<\/a> for photos.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Feb 15,\u00a02014, a 5 section scholastic event was held at Olympic View Elementary School,\u00a0Seattle.
