Championship

Congratulations to the Oregon State chess co-champions!

The Oregon chess championship ended in an amazing four-way tie involving Esler, Roua, Gay and Breckenridge! The players decided not to have a playoff. They will split the prize money and share the title of 2011 Oregon co-champion.

As reported by TD Frank Niro, "All in all, it was a pretty exciting tournament with the three kids prevailing against all but the top-rated defending champ. Breckenridge was born in 1992, Gay in 1993 and Esler in 1986."

The Championship has been registered and FIDE rated.
Titles: NM = National Master, LM = USCF Life Master.
