In Memory of IM Nikolay Minev (1931-2017)

The Chess Library was originally formed in the mid-1990's to support the work of International Master Nikolay Minev. The original partners were Nikolay Minev, Arthur Iodice, and Philip McCready. We published several hundred electronic files of complete tournaments with all games, and also published two books:

• Caro-Kann Fantasy Variation (ISBN 0-9661889-0-X)
• Miguel Najdorf: King of the King's Indian Defense (ISBN 0-9661889-1-8)

The company was disbanded as a business venture in the late 1990's, but the desire to contribute to the preservation of chess history remains.

This web site (previously run by Philip McCready) is a revival of some of that information and served as a forum to add additional similar information.

In July 2022, Philip turned over the website files to Northwest Chess (NWC) so that the content can be preserved on the NWC website.

Comments and suggestions are welcome. Contributions of additional information are also welcome, although NWC cannot guarantee that they will be added.
