  • Elliott’s Chess School is for chess players of all skill levels. From absolute beginner to 1600 NWSRS rated, we have something to teach you. Classes run Mon-Sat every week all year long.   • After School Classes - Chess4Life teaches chess in 80+ schools in the Puget Sound area. Visit www.chess4life.com/School_Selection.php to find your school. Would you like Chess4Life to teach at your school? Fill out our New School Request Form and a Chess4Life representative will contact you with more information.

  • Friday Night Quads (Chess4Life) - Every Friday in Bellevue, Issaquah, Redmond and Tacoma. All events are open to students K-12 and their parents. Start times vary by location. Each player is paired based on rating and placed with three similarly rated players for three 30 minute chess games. These are a fun way to sharpen chess skills, meet other chess players and take home a few trophies. Check-in can be done online, over phone at (425) 283-0549 or in-person. Entry fee is $12 or $6 for Gold Members. Trophies awarded to top winner in each quad. Click on the location links above for more information or to register.

  • Saturdays Noon to 2:00 PM - Detective Cookie's Urban Youth Chess Club (ages 5-18 plus family), Rainier Beach Branch (Library), Seattle, WA. Library events and programs are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is not required. Contact Info: Rainier Beach Branch, 206-386-1906.

  • Aug 4-5 Scholastic Event to be held at the U.S. Open in Vancouver, WA. Contact an officer of either the Washington or Oregon Chess Federations if you would like to help make it happen. See Rusty Miller's photo of organizational meeting held Jan. 28. In addition to some officers you may recognize, the photos include Lori Davis and her son, Frederick (Freddy).
  • Aug 4-7 Denker Tournament of High School Champions, Vancouver, WA. This invitational tournament will be played during the 2012 U.S. Open in Vancouver, WA. The event fields High School State Champions from across the United States. The winner of the tournament shall receive the title of Denker High School Champion of Champions. In case of ties, co-champions shall be recognized.
